Adelaide United can announce it has signed defender, Jacob Tratt, for the A-League 2021/22 season.
The 26-year-old joins the Club on a one-year deal having spent the last campaign with Indian Premier League outfit, Odisha.
A versatile defender, capable of playing as a centre-back or right-back, the Australian boasts A-League experience with Sydney FC, Wellington Phoenix, and Perth Glory.
Speaking about his decision to move to the Reds, Tratt said: “I’m really looking forward to getting over to Adelaide and getting started as a Red.
“I was able to watch United play a lot last season while I was in India and loved what I saw.
“I’ve spoken with Carl (Veart) and he’s told me how he wants the team to play and I’m excited to be part of that moving forward.
“I believe I’ll be able to positively contribute to the progress the team made last season and I’m ready to hit the ground running and work hard for this great Club.”
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “Jacob is a quality defender and definitely strengthens our defensive stocks.
“His A-League experience, but more specifically being part of the 2018/19 Sydney FC squad that won the Championship, will serve us very well.
“I’m sure Jacob will quickly settle in to life at Adelaide United and be welcomed by our playing group once he’s able to get to South Australia.”
