Adelaide United will travel to Port Pirie for a pre-season friendly against the Northern Demons on Sunday, 17 July, but will also be hosting an exclusive Football School!
Adelaide United will be taking its pre-season preparations to regional South Australia to face the Northern Demons on Sunday, 17 July at Byrne Park, Port Pirie.
The Reds will be in Port Pirie from Friday, 15 July until Sunday and will be interacting with the local community throughout their three-day tour.
On Friday evening, United will be hosted by the Demons at a family dinner function, before the locals have the chance to see the Reds in an open training session on Saturday morning.
Northern Demons will again host Adelaide at an exclusive formal function on Saturday night at Virtus Soccer Club, before the two sides meet on Sunday afternoon at Byrne Park. There will also be a “meet the players” session pre-match, where autograph and photo opportunities will be available.
In addition, Port Pirie’s future football stars will have the chance to hone their skills by participating in a unique, three-day intensive Adelaide United Football School in the lead up to the Reds arrival in the region.
The programme commences on Wednesday, 13 July and concludes on Friday, 15 July, with each session running from 10.30am until 1.30pm at St Mark’s College, Bosco Oval. Some of Adelaide United’s players will also be attending the final session to share their knowledge on the game and help to run a variety of drills.
