Adelaide United is thrilled to announce the extension of goalkeeper, James Delianov, for a further three years, reaffirming his commitment to the Club until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
Delianov, 24, originally signed with Adelaide United on a two-year contract ahead of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2020/21 season.
His performances throughout his maiden season with the Reds saw him make 18 appearances and secure five clean sheets.
Following Joe Gauci’s departure to Aston Villa at the beginning of February, Delianov has seamlessly stepped into the first team, delivering a series of remarkable displays that have solidified his position as a pivotal player for the Reds.
Speaking about his contract extension, James Delianov expressed his excitement, stating:
“I am incredibly proud and honoured to continue my journey with Adelaide United.
“The Club has shown tremendous faith in me, and I am determined to repay that faith with my performances on the pitch.
“I am eager to contribute to the team’s success and help achieve our collective goals.”
Adelaide United’s Goalkeeper Coach, Eugene Galekovic, commended Delianov’s dedication and patience.
“James is a talented goalkeeper with immense potential,” said Galekovic.
“His contributions both on and off the field are invaluable to our squad, and we are delighted to secure his services for the coming years.
“We look forward to witnessing his continued growth and success with Adelaide United”
Delianov’s contract extension reflects Adelaide United’s commitment to nurturing talent and building a competitive team capable of achieving success in the A-League and beyond.
