Adelaide United Youth will face newly promoted side Sturt Lions in the opening round of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League 2018 season, after the fixtures were released by FFSA.

The Reds will take on Sturt at Adelaide Shores on Saturday, 17 February, before hosting Adelaide Comets on Sunday, 25 February at United’s new home for the 2018 campaign – Smith Partners Stadium.

With the venue being the home ground of State League One outfit Modbury Jets, the majority of Adelaide’s home games will take place on Sunday.

Round 3 sees Paul Pezos’ side face FFA Cup SA holders, MetroStars at TK Shutter Reserve on Saturday, 3 March.

The Young Reds’ tough start to the season continues with matches against premiers, Adelaide City, and champions, Croydon in Rounds 4 and 5 respectively.

However, in Rounds 6 and 7 both of Adelaide’s home games will occur on Wednesday nights at The Parks Football Centre against South Adelaide and Campbelltown City.

Two more home matches follow against Para Hills Knights and Adelaide Olympic, before a Round 10 away meeting with West Adelaide at Rushworth Reserve.

The Reds have just the one home fixture in their final six encounters of the regular season, which concludes on Saturday, 4 August against Para Hills at the Paddocks.
