Adelaide United is delighted to announce Ben Halloran has returned to the Club, signing a two-year contract until the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
Halloran joined the Reds in 2018 and scored 21 goals in 88 appearances across all competitions before sealing a move to FC Seoul back in January. However, after seven months abroad with the K League 1 side, the 30-year-old has re-joined United and becomes the Club’s third new addition this off-season.
Halloran won successive Australia Cups in 2018 and 2019 and received the Aurelio Vidmar Medal following a sensational 2020/21 campaign.
Speaking about his decision to put pen-to-paper with Adelaide, Halloran said: “Adelaide and South Australia has always held a special place in my heart ever since I first joined the Club nearly four years ago.
“When the opportunity arose to return and begin a new chapter with Adelaide United, my gut told me it was the right decision.
“I’ve experienced some unforgettable moments here and feel a special connection to the place.
“The team I’m returning to is full of quality players and people, and I’m confident we can compete for silverware.”
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “We’re extremely delighted to have signed Ben for the next two seasons and be bringing him back to an environment where he has previously flourished tremendously.
“Ben brings enormous pedigree, experience, and composure in the final third and will also help our young players in their development.
“We know what Ben is capable of and the quality he gives us, but more importantly he’s a great person to have in the dressing room and around our Club.”
