Adelaide United have signed Australian/New Zealand attacking midfielder, Rosetta Taylor for the 2023/24 Liberty A-League season.
Taylor arrives from Forest where she helped her team to the FA WNL Cup title, scoring in extra time of the second round to eliminate Stoke.
The 22-year-old had previously spent seven years in Spain with Valencia CF Femenino, playing predominantly as a Number 10, and she was involved in a New Zealand training camp at Under 20 level.
Also able to play out wide and through the back, Taylor adds a considerable amount of versatility to Head Coach, Adrian Stenta’s side.
Taylor believes it is the ‘perfect’ time to return to Australia.
“I’m really delighted to have signed with Adelaide and I feel this is a really good move for my career,” she said.
“I’ve watched the A-League grow from afar through the years and with the added excitement of the World Cup, I just can’t wait to get started.
“I’ve been training with the squad for a week now and I love the vibe already.”
Stenta backs Taylor to thrive in Australian conditions.
“This is a really exciting opportunity both for the Club and Rosetta and I can’t wait personally to see what she can bring to the A-League after experience around the world,” he said.
“She is a sharp, quick player with great vision and footwork, and we hope she can contribute to some positive play for us this season.
“Rosetta has already been training with the group in what has been a seamless transition, so we’re looking forward to a great season ahead.”
