Reds reveal exclusive strip for Liverpool clash

Adelaide United has revealed an all-new, bold, yellow playing kit for their one off blockbuster match against Liverpool FC.

Along with the new strip, the Reds have revealed that two exciting new partners, San Remo and Malaysia Airlines along with existing major partner Veolia, will support United during the international spectacle.

As per the Hyundai A-League season, Veolia retains the prime front-of-shirt position, with San Remo being represented on the back-of-shirt and Malaysia Airlines positioned on the playing shorts.

Liverpool is England’s most successful club with 41 major honours, 18 times champions of England and 5 times champions of Europe and they will be facing our own Adelaide United on 20 July at Adelaide Oval as part of the 2015 LFC Tour.

Like Liverpool, Adelaide United is traditionally known as the Reds, and it was decided that the honour of wearing the traditional red strip would be granted to the English giants. Adelaide United will take the field in the all yellow strip highlighting one of the primary colours of the Club.

Club Chairman Greg Griffin welcomed the corporate support for United in readiness for the highly anticipated match.

“Involvement from these types of global brands is a reflection of the strength of Adelaide United in the football world, but also highlights the opportunity for international exposure due to the profile of a team like Liverpool FC,” said Griffin.

Adelaide United’s match against Liverpool FC will be watched not only by a sell-out crowd at Adelaide Oval, but also by millions of fans worldwide.

Veolia’s Executive General Manager for Western Region Laurie Kozlovic, welcomed the opportunity to partner with Adelaide United in their highly anticipated match against Liverpool FC.

“Veolia is delighted to continue our support of Adelaide United as they take on Liverpool FC,” said Mr Kozlovic.

“This is a unique opportunity, one which will inevitably raise the profile of Adelaide as a major sporting hub on both a national and international stage. We wish Adelaide United the best of luck, and call on the wider Australian community to get behind our team!”

A spokesman from San Remo was thrilled to be involved in such a high profile match.

“We are very happy to be associated with the Adelaide United and Liverpool match and it’s such a honour to see our logo on the back of the play shirt.”

Malaysia Airlines were also proud to be represented in the LFC Tour 2015 Adelaide.

“Malaysia Airlines is proud to support Adelaide United for this event, just as we continue to support Adelaide with direct services to Kuala Lumpur and beyond since 1990.”
