Our Reds Rewind series continues with a look back at Tarek Elrich’s stunning solo effort against Melbourne City in 2015.
In the final round of the 2014/15 regular season, Tarek Elrich produced a moment of magic, highlighting a brilliant campaign from a personal perspective.
The then 28-year-old collected the ball inside his own half before weaving his way past three City players.
He kept his composure to finish beyond the goalkeeper and make it 3-0 just past the half hour mark before running off in celebration.
The goal unsurprisingly sent the crowd into jubilant scenes as the Reds went on to secure a dominant 4-1 win.
At the end of the campaign, the mesmerising individual effort deservingly was awarded the Hyundai A-League Goal of the Season.
