Adelaide United is delighted to officially announce goalkeeper Daniel Margush has signed a two-year contract extension with the Club.
Margush’s new deal means the young shot-stopper will remain with the Reds until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season.
Margush made his professional debut for Adelaide as an 18-year-old against the Central Coast Mariners in January 2016.
The 19-year-old initially served as competition for former Reds, Eugene Galekovic and John Hall, before his strong performances saw him make numerous appearances last season.
Margush, a young Socceroo, has always been a dependable goalkeeper when called upon – highlighted by his man-of-the-match performance against the Western Sydney Wanderers in March this year.
Adelaide United General Manager of Football, Ante Kovacevic, said he was delighted to see Margush extend his time with the Club.
“Daniel has proved on a number of occasions that he is a top quality goalkeeper with a lot of potential.
“When called upon last season in particular, Daniel demonstrated his abilities between the sticks and is only going to get better with more experience.
“With Paul Izzo, Daniel, and also Isaac Richards all under Frank Juric’s experienced tutorage, the Club will continue to have strong and capable goalkeepers.”
Margush, who will continue to provide competition for Paul Izzo, has amassed four appearances in all competitions for the Reds.
