Adelaide United FC will host an extra game at Hindmarsh Stadium this season courtesy of an arrangement with Gold Coast United.

The arrangement, which has been agreed on by both clubs and approved by Football Federation Australia, will see the scheduled Week 6 encounter between Adelaide United and Gold Coast United on Friday 11 November 2011 shifted from Gold Coast-s Skilled Park to Hindmarsh Stadium.

Adelaide United seized the opportunity to add a ninth Friday night clash and 14th game at Hindmarsh Stadium to its season fixtures after Gold Coast United expressed its intent and interest in moving one of its home matches.

The one-off stand alone game which will fall outside of the 13 home matches that Adelaide United season ticket holders get to attend as part of their package, the club identified significant upsides in securing another game in Adelaide at Hindmarsh Stadium in the popular Friday night time slot.

Together with the commercial benefits, this announcement will excite the club-s coaching staff and players in that they will play an extra game at home and one less game for which they will have to travel, while just as notably it gives Reds fans another chance to see the team play live in Adelaide.

Holding this additional fixture is set to be a challenge for the Adelaide United faithful. As a standalone match the fixture will be promoted as a one off game with all Season Ticket Holders afforded a priority booking period. The club is confident Reds fans will make the most of the opportunity, the club committed to Hindmarsh Stadium as Adelaide-s home of football.

Ticket prices and details for the match will be released soon.
