Adelaide United is delighted to announce Emilia Murray, Zoe Tolland, Sasha Coorey, and Katie Bowler have signed scholarship deals for the upcoming Liberty A-League 2022/23 season.
Murray, 17, returns after featuring 10 times for the Reds last season and has scored 11 goals in 12 matches across all competitions this year as a forward with Football SA NTC in the local WNPL.
Tolland, who has previously trained with the Reds, joins from Adelaide City where the 20-year-old most recently amassed 14 appearances and two goals in 2022.
17-year-old Coorey has also impressed with Football SA NTC, scoring three goals in eight games from midfield.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Bowler has spent the campaign with Adelaide City, finding the back-of-the-net 10 times in 16 appearances for the Black and Whites.
Adelaide United’s Liberty A-League Head Coach, Adrian Stenta, said: “Emilia, Zoe, Sasha, and Katie are all very talented, despite being some of the youngest players in our team.
“What’s also excellent is that each girl has progressed from the NTC program and have been engaged with us as train-on players at some point in their journey.
“Being able to reward them with these scholarship contracts is fantastic.
“Emilia provides depth and speed in our attacking third and I expect her to take another step forward in her second season here having experienced what is required at this level.
“Zoe, Sasha, and Katie have been rewarded following strong seasons in the WNPL and will only continue to improve training regularly in a professional environment.
“Overall, I believe the balance of youth and experienced players is, arguably, the best it has been since being involved at United and it is very exciting ahead of the new season.”
