Adelaide United wishes to advise Youth Team Head Coach, Paul Pezos, will depart the Club following the conclusion of his contract at the end of the current National Premier League Finals Series.
Pezos joined the Club in October 2017 and was in charge of the Young Reds during three Foxtel Y-League campaigns as well as three seasons in the local National Premier League (NPL).
Adelaide United Chairman, Piet van der Pol, said: “On behalf of the Club, I want to thank Paul for his hard work over the past three years.
“Being in charge of a youth team that competed in both the Foxtel Y-League and the National Premier Leagues South Australia across the calendar year certainly had its challenges.
“Then, with the COVID-19 pandemic, a disrupted 2020 season threw out more challenges, however Paul and his staff managed to guide the boys well throughout this period.
“Paul has done well in aiding in the development of our youth players and we wish him well for his future.”
Speaking on his departure, Pezos said: “I want to thank Adelaide United for my time at the Club.
“I have enjoyed every minute of coaching the Youth Team and working with a number of great groups of young footballers.
“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved as a team and equally proud of the young players that have been able to make the jump into the A-League squad.
“I wish the Club and the Youth Teams in particular every success for the future.”
