Carl Veart’s Reds will line-up against reigning Isuzu Ute A-League Champions, Western United, at ServiceFM Stadium on Saturday, 17 September.
Having already played Para Hills Knights on Tuesday and Adelaide Cobras on Thursday, winning both matches 9-0 and 2-0 respectively, the friendly against John Aloisi’s men will kick-off at 11:00am ACST and be free for all spectators.
“We’re looking forward to playing fellow A-League opposition and, perhaps, giving ourselves a bit of a benchmark before the season starts,” Veart said.
“Western United had a great season last year and I’m sure will be very competitive once again.
“It might be a friendly, but there’s always a bit of pride on the line in these games and we’ll be looking to get one up on them early before we face them in Round 5 of the competitive season.”
Not that Adelaide United fans need added incentive to come and see their Reds take on last season’s Champions, but the new UCAN 2022/23 home shirt is now back in-stock and will be available for purchase at the venue throughout the match.
