Adelaide United is excited to reveal its daring new home kit for the 2022/23 season, capturing the essence of the Club’s modern and forward-thinking direction.
Custom-manufactured by the Club’s Global Technical Partner, UCAN, the jersey is inspired by the structural elements of Coopers Stadium’s Western Grandstand and newly redeveloped Eastern Stand through an aesthetically pleasing and unique design.
Utilising scarlet red, the 2022/23 jersey emits classy vibes, while shrewdly incorporating an intricate, layered triangular pattern woven into the jacquard, depicting the cantilever roof space trusses.
Subtle transparent yellow and navy trimming around the sleeves and inside collar, as well as the monotone embroidered Club badge and UCAN logo in silver and transparent yellow respectively, complements the entire progressive, yet retro character.
The inside of the neckline also includes Coopers Stadium’s coordinates, a stylish nod to not only the Reds’ home ground but also the home of football in South Australia.
Soft against the skin, UCAN’s fabric wicks sweat, has excellent moisture absorption traits to ensure breathability and comfort, and dries quickly. Red shorts and socks along with some fine detailing accentuate the slick feel.
Adelaide United’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Marius Zanin, said: “We’re really proud of the overall design and bolder colour choice of the kit by reverting back to a darker shade of red, in this case scarlet sage.
“From the initial conception to development and final production, the overall process with UCAN has again been seamless and this is reflective of the strong partnership we have built since joining forces in 2020.
“I genuinely believe this elevates us above the rest of the league in Australia as well as other sporting codes.
“UCAN’s high quality, reliability, and flexibility has been fundamental to our successful partnership and we’re extremely thankful for that.
“We know our fans will be proud to represent our Club and the state of South Australia with this kit, but also the others that we will be releasing soon.”
UCAN’s Global General Manager, Ally Zhao, said: “Collaborating with Adelaide United on their apparel for the new season was another enjoyable experience.
“It’s rewarding seeing so many fans comment on the quality of our products, and we believe this new jersey will excite Adelaide United supporters a lot.”
For the fourth consecutive season, the Club’s Major Partner, Flinders University, will appear on the front of the Isuzu UTE A-League home shirt, while Kite will feature on the front of the Liberty A-League kit for the first time after becoming the new Co-Major Partner of the Women’s team.
The iconic McDonald’s logo will also be present on the right sleeve of the jersey for both teams.
Fans can now purchase the new 2022/23 home jersey at the Adelaide United Store in Hindmarsh and online via the Adelaide United Online Store.
The Club’s Men’s side will debut the new home kit in the Australia Cup 2022 Quarter Final against Brisbane Roar at ServiceFM Stadium on Wednesday, 31 August.
