Ahead of Adelaide United’s away meeting with the Western Sydney Wanderers at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night, Opta have provided the key statistics.

The Reds are undefeated in seven of their past eight matches against Western Sydney, recording two wins and five draws.

Adelaide have never won on the road against the Wanderers, but have notched three scoreless draws in their preceding three visits against them.

Marco Kurz’s men have scored six goals between the 61st and 75th minutes, more than any other side this season, and five greater than Wednesday’s opponents.

Centre-back, Jordan Elsey, leads the team in clearances (59), blocks (12) and passes in own half (344), a testament to his strong defensive qualities and composure in possession.

Captain, Isaías, has completed 147 passes into the final third this campaign which is 14 more than any other player in the competition.

In United’s 3-0 win against Perth Glory last time out, Nathan Konstandopoulos showcased his class by scoring his maiden Hyundai A-League goal with a clinical finish and registered a passing accuracy rate of 89%.

Michael Marrone prevailed in 13 of 19 duels, won five tackles and six interceptions.

Johan Absalonsen also experienced another fruitful outing following his return from injury, providing the assist for Konstandopoulos and netting the final goal.

Adelaide United will face Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 15 of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season on Wednesday, 10 January at ANZ Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.20pm ACDT.
