Ahead of Adelaide United’s massive Original Rivalry against Melbourne Victory on Good Friday, Opta has provided the key statistics.

Adelaide come into the clash on a three-match unbeaten streak and can secure a top four berth and home final if they can win their remaining two matches, starting with Victory.

In the pair’s most recent encounter, the Reds produced a 2-0 win at Coopers Stadium in January and in the process recorded their first home victory in the Hyundai A-League over Melbourne since February 2013.

United have won four of their preceding six matches at Coopers this year, with two of the triumphs occurring after trailing at half-time.

Paul Izzo made three crucial saves against Melbourne City on his way to keep his and the Reds’ seventh clean sheet of the season.

Scott Galloway was impermeable at right-back, winning all five of his tackles, prevailing in 10 of 12 duels, and registering six clearances.

Isaías was also immense in midfield, boasting a 91% passing accuracy rate, won 10 duels, made four clearances and created two chances.

Centre-back pair, Michael Jakobsen and Michael Marrone, combined to record 14 clearances and 11 successful duels in a resolute display.

Marrone also leads the team this season in interceptions with 34.
