Football Federation Australia (FFA) has announced that 14,000 tickets have been sold for the Hyundai A-League 2016 Semi Final at Coopers Stadium, Adelaide, on Friday 22 April with no more tickets available for sale until next week.
Commenting on the large number of tickets already sold, Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Grant Mayer, said the match will undoubtedly prove to be a fantastic night for Australian football, but also for football in South Australia in particular.
“The response so far from our Reds fans has been absolutely fantastic,” Mayer said.
“It comes as no surprise that our supporters have gotten behind the team in droves.
“We’re sure whichever team we play on the night will provide fantastic opposition and the match will be an amazing spectacle not just for Australian football, but of course South Australian football.”
Adelaide United will play the lowest ranked winner of this weekend’s Hyundai A-League 2016 Elimination Finals and an allocation of tickets will be on sale to the away team when Adelaide’s opponent is confirmed on Friday or Sunday.
Any tickets left over from the away team allocation and tickets returned from corporate seats will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday 19 April 2016.
The match kicks off at 7:05pm ACST. For match information and tickets sales for all Hyundai A-League 2016 Finals Series, presented by FOXTEL go to www.a-league.com.au/tickets
