Continuing to ramp-up their preparations for the impending Isuzu UTE A-League season, Adelaide United’s men’s squad will take on a South Australian National Premier League Select XI at Marden Sports Complex on Saturday morning.
It will be the fourth pre-season friendly Carl Veart’s side will play prior to the competitive domestic season, following games against Para Hills Knights, Adelaide Cobras, and Western United.
“Having another game locked in is important for our preparations ahead of the A-League season starting in just a few weeks,” Veart said.
“We had a bit of a busy week last week with three games in five days, but it gave us a great opportunity to give all our boys a run across the matches.
“Facing this NPL Select XI is going to be another good chance for our guys to have a run against a competitive group.
“I also want to thank the NPL boys for putting their hands up to play in this game as well.
“Their seasons are finished and they deserve a rest, but putting their boots back on to help us out with our pre-season is a great.”
