Adelaide United is delighted to officially announce Head Coach, Carl Veart, has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Club.

The new deal, which was agreed while Club owner, Cor Adriaanse, was in Adelaide also for the announcement of Ned Morris as the Reds’ new Chair, will ensure Veart remains at the helm of United’s Isuzu UTE A-League squad until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Veart re-joined the Reds’ coaching set-up ahead of the 2019/20 season as an Assistant Coach, before accepting an interim Head Coach role following the league’s COVID-19 postponement. After ushering a strong finish to that 2019/20 campaign, Veart accepted the role permanently.

Speaking on his new contract, Veart said: “I’m very happy to have signed this three-year contract extension with Adelaide United.

“To represent South Australia each and every week is a privilege and something I’ve never taken for granted and it’s an honour to continue doing so.

“I’ve always said this Club has held a special place in my heart and I’m very pleased to know that my future will remain here at the Reds.

“Since I returned to United, we have made a lot of progress both on and off the field, but we still have a lot of work to do to ensure we remain one of the most respected Clubs in Australian football.

“As for this season, we’re in a very good position and there’s every opportunity to make this campaign very memorable.

“This is where our focus is and we will continue working hard right until the very end.”

Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Nathan Kosmina, said: “Ensuring we extended Carl’s contract has been one of our biggest priorities.

“What Carl and his coaching staff have achieved over the past three seasons has been phenomenal and thanks to Carl our football program has never been better positioned for consistent, longer-term success.

“I want to thank Carl for his unwavering commitment and dedication, and whilst this season remains in absolute focus, I look forward to what we can achieve in the years to come under Carl’s leadership.”
