Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, has said his side must not get ahead of itself, despite earning a strong standing in the Isuzu UTE A-League to-date.
Veart’s Reds are currently on an 11-match unbeaten run, following their 3-2 win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Friday night.
Speaking post-game to Paramount+, Veart spoke of the importance of the win, while also acknowledging the need to remain grounded heading into another crucial game at Coopers Stadium this coming week.
Veart said:
“It was a tough game.
“At times, we defended exceptionally well and I’m very happy with the boys.
“The fight they put up, their spirit to come away with the three points here is a great win.
“We knew coming in that Wanderers put a lot of pressure on you, physical pressure as well, so we had to stand up with that and the boys were fantastic.
“We have four games to go and we’ve got another tough one next week against Sydney FC.
“The boys will recover now and take time with that.
“Then we go forward against Sydney at home (on) Good Friday and hopefully we can get all our fans out to get behind the boys.”
