It was a fresh and energised looking Eugene Galekovic that fronted the media on his return to training following his two weeks off.
Galekovic spent some time up in north Queensland for a well deserved break to momentarily get away from football. While it may have been a shorter than normal off season, the 32 year old gloveman would not have had it any different as he spent much of the past four months in camp with the Socceroos, involved in Australia-s World Cup qualifying campaign and under the eye of national coach Holger Osieck.
With the 2014 World Cup in Brazil less than 12 months away, Galekovic did himself no harm with two impressive displays for the Socceroos at the East Asian Cup in South Korea last month. Galekovic-s appearances at the East Asian Cup took his number of Australian caps to eight with four clean sheets.
Some pundits already believe Galekovic has one foot in the door to Brazil, however the man himself knows there is still a lot of water to go under the bridge before the final squad is selected.
