Adelaide United wishes to advise the departure of Vince Lia from the Club.

Lia, who made 43 appearances in all competitions for the Reds and scored three goals, departs having won two FFA Cups.

“I want to thank everyone at Adelaide United for welcoming me and making me feel comfortable since I joined the Club,” Lia explained.

“To win two FFA Cups is something I’ll never forget and I’m proud to be part of this Club’s successful history.

“I’ve loved my time in South Australia and wish the boys the best for the rest of the season.”

Adelaide United Director of Football, Bruce Djite, said: “It is disappointing to see Vince go.

“He is a fantastic professional and very well liked amongst all staff and players at the Club.

“However, towards the back end of his career, Vince is keen to find a club where he will have greater opportunities to play first team football.

“After everything Vince has given to the Club, it’s only fair that we grant his wish to pursue other opportunities.

“On behalf of everyone at the Club, I want to thank Vince for his tireless hard work, discipline, professionalism, and dedication to Adelaide United and we all wish him the best for his future.”
