Adelaide United can officially confirm the departure of Ben Warland from the Club to pursue another opportunity.
Warland, 21, made his debut for the Reds as an 18-year-old against Melbourne City during the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 season. He subsequently went on to make a total of 14 appearances for the Club, including two in the AFC Champions League 2017.
Adelaide United Head Coach, Marco Kurz, wished Warland the best for his future, saying: “We have decided to allow Ben to leave us and wish him well for his career.”
Adelaide United General Manager of Football, Ante Kovacevic, said: “We are disappointed to see Ben leave the Club, but respect his decision.
“At the moment we have a squad with good defensive depth.
“We continue to work on attacking additions and, in reality, the transfer window’s deadline is somewhat irrelevant to us, because we are still able to bring players into the Club if they are classified as free agents prior to the deadline.”
