Following the Reds maiden win of the season over Perth Glory on Sunday evening, Guillermo Amor and the United squad are calling on all supporters to #FillTheStands of Coopers Stadium this Friday night.
With the weather set to be much kinder to the players and supporters, and a massive clash between the Reds and Sydney FC set to light up Coopers Stadium, United will need all the support we can get this Friday night as we look to secure our second win of the season.
Speaking on how crucial the fans are in helping the team get over the line in close matches like what is anticipated against Sydney, United Head Coach, Guillermo Amor, said the evidence was obvious.
“Against Perth Glory, the players needed support from the fans to win this game and we are thankful because it is what we got,” Amor explained.
“The fans that came to the match in very hot conditions helped the team a lot during the whole match, but also in the last few minutes when anything could have happened.
“We need much more of this for our next game and for the games after that. If we can fill the stands at Coopers, our team can really do good things and improve our season very quickly.”
The Reds managed to rise from the bottom of the Hyundai A-League table and into 8th position following their 1-0 win over the Glory, whilst Sydney FC are in 3rd after they beat Newcastle Jets 1-0.
Adelaide United will face Sydney FC in Round 10 of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season on Friday, 11 December 2015 at Coopers Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.10pm ACDT.
