Game 1 v Shandong Luneng Youth…

After arriving in Weifang on Saturday, Adelaide United-s young squad spent time acclimatising and adapting to the humid conditions in the lead up to the first game.

The team-s ability to adjust and gel together was more than evident in their first game as they put four past Shandong Youth in a 4-1 score line.

The score could have been more as the boys from Adelaide hit the woodwork on a number of occasions, including in the opening minute. It was a dominant display as the Reds gave the team from Shandong little chance to settle or get into a rhythm.

United Youth-s next match is against Villarreal before their final group game against the Chinese Youth Team.
