Georgia Campagnale says Adelaide United Women are determined to finish the season strongly and get off the foot of the table.
The Reds travel to the nation’s capital on Sunday as they face Canberra United Women.
With two games left Campagnale stated taking maximum points from their remaining fixtures was the team objective.
“As a team our aim for the rest of the season is to finish on a positive note and winning the last two games, which I think is very achievable,” Campagnale said.
Since defeating the Reds just before Christmas, Canberra have suffered four successive losses, and have failed to score a goal while conceding 15 in the process.
The 23-year-old was confident that if they execute the coaching staff’s instructions they will give themselves every chance of enjoying a successful outing.
“They’ve lost a few games and a few players,” she said.
“So I think what we just have to do is execute the tactics that we’ve been given by Ivan and the coaching staff and becoming more clinical in front of goal.”
Known for her versatility, Campagnale has featured in a number of roles again this season.
She has played as a full-back, on the wing and most recently started back-to-back games in central midfield.
Campagnale revealed she does not really have a preference as long as she is on the park contributing.
“I think it’s great to be able to play multiple positions because in the team environment there’s injuries, there’s formation changes,” she explained.
“And so you are always available to be chosen by the coaching staff which is great, so I’ve been pleased with how I’ve been going.”
