The Adelaide United Youth Team will host Noarlunga United in Round 27 of the NPL State League at the Elite Systems Football Centre on Sunday afternoon.
The Young Reds are in good stead heading into the clash with Noarlunga, after beating Seaford in Round 26 5-3.
However, winger for Adelaide United, Antoni Trimboli says his team needs to give everything heading into the last four games of the season.
“We have played very well since coming into the NPL State League,” said Trimboli.
“But we know that there are a few sides near us on the table and the league is there for the taking.
“So we need to focus on the match against Noarlunga and give this title race all we have left.
The Young Reds post the best scoring record in the league scoring 87 goals in 26 games, but Trimboli still believes they have more install heading into the finale of the season.
“Yeah it’s a decent stat, but obviously our aim is to finish top and that’s what we are going to try to do,” said Trimboli.
“Scoring goals has definitely helped into getting into the position we are in now but that will count for nothing if we don’t do all we can to get maximum points from our last four fixtures.”
The Young Reds will face Noarlunga United, Gawler, Salisbury United and Adelaide Victory in their last four games of the year.
Trimboli continued to praise the opposition’s sides ahead but believes the side will take it one game at a time.
“We will focus on the task at hand at the moment which is Noarlunga,” said Trimboli.
“We didn’t get the result we wanted last time, so this will be a big game for us and hopefully we can collect the points.”
