Adelaide United is delighted to announce Zach Clough has signed a two-year extension with the Club, securing the talented attacking midfielder in South Australia until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Joining the Reds in February 2022, Clough, 27, amassed 13 appearances between the league and last season’s Finals campaign, scoring a sublime goal against Melbourne City in the Semi Final at AAMI Park.
Speaking on re-committing to the Club, Clough said: “I’m very happy to have signed a new contract with Adelaide United, knowing I’ll remain a Red for the next two years.
“From the moment I arrived in Adelaide, I’ve felt welcomed and at home within the squad and the city.
“The project we’re building with Carl (Veart) is very promising and something I’m excited to be a part of.
“I know the rest of the boys and I were all gutted to have missed out on making the Grand Final last season, but I’m confident that disappointment will fuel our desire to go further next season.”
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “It’s never easy stepping into a new team halfway through a campaign, especially one on the other side of the world.
“But in the games Zach played for us last season, we all saw glimpses of the quality and footballing intelligence he possesses.
“To have secured Zach for the next two seasons is fantastic for our squad and I’m very confident that, after a strong pre-season, he can continue to flourish and provide us with a real offensive threat.”
