Alagich Vidmar 2025 Awards Night: Ethan Alagich and Erin Healy Claim Club’s Highest Honours

Adelaide United’s brightest stars were celebrated at The Drive on Wednesday night, as Ethan Alagich and Erin Healy claimed the Club’s top individual honours at the 2025 Alagich Vidmar Awards Night.

In an evening that celebrated excellence, legacy, and rising stars, it was Alagich and Healy who shone brightest — each capping off an impressive season by taking home the Club’s most prestigious accolades.

Ethan Alagich was named the 2025 Aurelio Vidmar Medallist, recognising a season defined by maturity, consistency, and relentless work ethic. At just 21 years old, the midfielder became the only outfield player to start all 26 Isuzu UTE A-League Men fixtures, logging more than 2,500 minutes and emerging as a linchpin in Carl Veart’s side.

The honour is steeped in family history — with his father, Richie, and aunt, Dianne, also former recipients of the Club’s MVP awards. Ethan’s win marks a generational milestone, weaving the Alagich name even deeper into the fabric of the Club.

“Ethan’s had a fantastic season,” Head Coach Carl Veart said. “His consistency, maturity, and work ethic have been outstanding — especially for someone so young. He’s stepped up in big moments and become a vital part of our midfield. To see him follow in the footsteps of his dad and aunt is something really special, and the whole Club is proud of what he’s achieved.”

In the A-Leagues Women’s competition, American midfielder Erin Healy was awarded the 2025 Dianne Alagich Medal, capping a sensational debut campaign. Across 19 appearances, Healy scored seven goals, provided two assists, and led the team in successful dribbles — showcasing her creativity and composure in the final third.

Head Coach Adrian Stenta praised Healy’s professionalism and influence throughout the campaign.

“Erin’s been outstanding this season — not just for her impact on the pitch, but for the professionalism she’s shown every day,” Stenta said. “She arrived straight from Europe and hit the ground running, and even after injury, made a huge difference in our Finals push. Her mindset, creativity, and team-first attitude have made her a key part of the group, and this award is thoroughly deserved.”

This year, in addition to the prestigious Dianne Alagich and Aurelio Vidmar Medals, the Club introduced a new tradition: the presentation of the Club Champion Jacket.

Handcrafted and bespoke, the double-breasted jackets were designed and tailored by Beg Your Pardon. Awarded to Healy and Alagich, the Club Champion Jacket added a refined, ceremonial touch to an already memorable evening.

Among the other standout winners on the night, Archie Goodwin dominated the men’s categories — collecting the A-League Men Rising Star, RAA Members’ Player of the Year, and Red Army Player of the Year awards to go with his A-Leagues Golden Boot honour.

Harry Crawford was awarded Moment of the Season for his spectacular debut goal against the Newcastle Jets, while Claudia Jenkins capped off a career-best campaign by claiming the Red Army A-League Women Player of the Year — fittingly announced on the same day she received her second call-up to the New Zealand Football Ferns.

The evening also recognised a host of other outstanding performers across both senior teams and the Club’s youth programs.

Adelaide United CEO Nathan Kosmina congratulated the award winners and reflected on the Club’s collective efforts throughout an improved 2024/25 campaign.

“This season has presented its fair share of challenges, but it has also been one of growth, with progress made across all areas of the Club,” Kosmina said.

“I want to congratulate Ethan and Erin on their deserved recognition, along with all of our award recipients across the Men’s, Women’s, and Youth programs.

“I’d also like to acknowledge our players, coaches, office staff, partners, and loyal members — the entire Adelaide United family — for their unwavering support, as we enjoyed record attendances at Coopers Stadium this season. We now look forward to the 2025/26 season with great optimism and ambition.”
