Adelaide United can confirm the departures of George Blackwood and Asad Kasumović following the expiration of their contracts.
Blackwood, who returned to the Reds in 2021 following an initial three-year stay in South Australia before departing for European football, amassed 113 appearances across all competitions, scoring 25 goals in that time.
Blackwood was part of United sides that won successive Australia Cup trophies in 2018 and 2019.
Kasumović joined United in 2021 from Adelaide City on a scholarship contract and successfully made 10 appearances for the Reds during his time with the Club.
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “On behalf of everyone at Adelaide United, I want to thank both George and Asad for the commitment and hard work during their time with us.
“Both players have contributed to our Club-wide progress and I’m sure have bright futures ahead of them.
“We wish them well for their futures and we will always look back at their efforts with us with fondness.”
Whilst recovering from a broken left foot, Kasumović will continue to recover at train with Adelaide United.
