Adelaide United goalkeeper Steven Hall has agreed to a three-year scholarship contract with the Club, putting pen-to-paper until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Hall became the youngest gloveman to appear in the Isuzu UTE A-League at 16 years and 350 days when he featured as a substitute against Wellington Phoenix on New Year’s Day.
In four matches last season, the young shot-stopper displayed maturity and composure beyond his years.
The now 17-year-old is also currently completing Year 12 at SEDA College, where Liberty A-League Women Head Coach, Adrian Stenta, is his teacher.
Speaking about committing his future with the Reds, Hall said: “It was a dream to debut for my childhood Club earlier this year.
“I’m excited to continue my development here in Adelaide alongside some very talented goalkeepers, but also under Eugene (Galekovic) whose knowledge and experience is incredible.
“I’m still very young and have a lot of developing to do, so I can’t wait for pre-season to start and to get back to training regularly with our great group.”
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “Steven is a great young goalkeeper who performed well whenever he was called upon last season.
“We’re very fortunate that we have four top-drawer goalkeepers with the competition for places being extremely high.
“We see Steven as having a long-term future with the Club and believe the best place to maintain his evolution as a goalkeeper is here under Eugene’s guidance and expertise.”
